Day 2 in Trujillo

Well, breakfast was interesting. There was a small bowl of sugar puffs on the table and no cereal bowls. Apparently, you use a highball glass, fill it with yoghurt and add a spoonful of sugar puffs. Colin wanted coffee. It was in a teapot and stone cold. He told the lady in the kitchen and she explained that it was supposed to be. You put some coffee in a cup and top it up with boiling water. It's really interesting seeing how everyday things are done differently in other countries.

We had a lazy couple of hours and then headed into town to take advantage of the attractions, most of which are free of charge and managed to clock up another 20k steps.

We wandered around the buildings which are now used for different purposes. One thing we have learned is to carry your passport everywhere. I normally do anyway but you are constantly asked for ID and they do check it, not just a cursory glance.

First stop, because it closes early, was the museum of archeology  anthropology and history.  It was absolutely fascinating learning about the Incas, their history and their evolution.

Next stop was the toy museum. After climbing what felt like Everest, we found it was closed.
Next stop, to see an exhibition of Marinera costumes and another displaying some of the works of a Peruvian artist.
